You don't need to sling the cards every five minutes to gain insights and wisdom from the Tarot.
Your year card as your annual growth symbol based on your date of birth can offer a glimpse into possibilities and guidance on how to proceed.
My year card for 2025 is The Chariot.
This card suggests breaking free from established settings and leaving your comfort zone for new opportunities and growth.
At the beginning of the year I was wondering what this card would unfold for me over the coming months, but one thing I knew was that I needed something new - new experiences, adventures, locations, and even a new place to live.
While I enjoyed many new adventures by visiting new places (see my YouTube channel), I have also decided to sell my house after 30 years of it being my home. The moment came at the start of summer that I knew I was ready to leave and move on.
There is so much of my history in this house, but now I'm ready for the future and new beginnings.
Being wrapped up in a safe place of the past started to make me feel stuck. My main aim is to downsize, so I've been getting rid of furniture and possessions, as my new place will be much smaller.
Downsizing also means so much more freedom and lightness.
It can be daunting to let go of what you’ve known and loved for so long, and though challenges are bound to arise, that’s what keeps life exciting—and it leaves me feeling more vibrant than ever.
While The Chariot certainly reflects my urge to embark on a new path and the weight of the choice I’ve made, Major Arcana cards often reveal forces that lie beyond our control, appearing suddenly and reshaping the journey in surprising ways.
When I went for a routine eye test and check-up in May, I was told I had cataracts in both eyes and needed operations. I was referred to the local eye clinic for surgery.
As you can imagine, that was quite a shock at first, but then I realised the amazing opportunity this would offer.
I could have my eyes fixed, so I wouldn't need to wear glasses anymore.
A life time of wearing glasses would come to an end.
But of course the path towards that end goal wasn't smooth.
It was a long road, shadowed by fears of what might go wrong. Still, I knew I had to face it—cataracts would eventually make me go blind anyway, and my vision was already pretty rubbish. So much so that I stepped away from blogging, unable to bear the strain of screens.
Now, after the whole experience, both my eyes are restored—and I enjoy perfect vision.
I quite literally see life through a new lense. It's amazing🤩
And the first thing I felt I wanted to do was to write this blog post, a little life update reflected in my year card, The Chariot.
⭐How has your year card treated you so far? How has it reflected your life this year?⭐
Let me know in the comments. I'd love to hear from you 💚
Warmest wishes,
Christiane
